This Week: Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS

It’s that time of week again, the weekend is upon us and it’s just about time for another episode of Doctor Who. This weekend it’s the intriguing Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS written by Stephen Thompson (Curse of the Black Spot).

JTTCOTT Doctor 7

On BBC One this episode will air at the slightly earlier time-slot of 6.30pm on Saturday the 27th, something the show will probably benefit from. Around the world it will debut on the same in America on BBC America at 8:00pm ET and the same time on SPACE in Canada. The ABC broadcast will be at 7.30pm on the next day, Sunday the 28th. The episode will be available to watch on the BBC’s iPlayer service and the ABC’s iView soon after the episode airs.

The Synopsis for the episode is:

A spaceship salvage team drags the TARDIS on board, sending its systems into meltdown.

As the Doctor marshals the motley salvage crew outside, he realises Clara is still trapped within his malfunctioning ship, pursued by a dangerous group of ossified monsters. He has just 30 minutes to find Clara and save his TARDIS before it self-destructs.

What am I most looking forward to? Well, I think this week there will be some more intrigue in the Clara direction, with four episode to go in the series it’s about time that her story starts to build up to its culmination in the finale. It is going to be an interesting couple of weeks for the show, a number of weeks where we find out what Moffat has been heading towards for the past three or four years.

Do I think the Moff’ will pay off? Yes. He will, in amazing style.

Until then though, it’s back to The Journey to the Centre of the TRADIS.
