The ABC have announced that they will screen the new series of Doctor Who mere hours after the BBC. The Bells of St John will debut on Sunday March 31st at 7:30 on ABC1.
TV Tonight reports:
[the screening] will be just hours after the UK premiere on March 30, and is the swiftest fast-tracking ABC has ever provided fans.
Written by Steven Moffat, ‘The Bells of St John’ will mark the official introduction of the Doctor’s newest companion, Clara Oswald, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman. Having already made two appearances last year, the opening episode will be the first time fans get to see the Clara that will accompany the Doctor across the series’ eight adventures.
This seems the perfect anniversary gift for Australian fans who have had to, in the past, wait up to three months after the UK screening for new episodes.
